Privacy Policy

Arjun Khurana t/a Get Crux (ABN 91 332 307 539) (“Crux”, “we”, “us”) is committed to protecting the privacy of individuals who use our Service. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

1.Information We Collect

Account information: name, email address, company name, job title, phone number, and payment details (processed by Stripe — we do not store card numbers).

Usage data: IP addresses, browser type, pages visited, feature usage, and session durations collected via server logs and analytics.

Content you upload: meeting transcripts, audio files, documents, and notes uploaded to generate Briefs. This Content may contain personal information about you or third parties.

Generated Briefs: the Briefs produced by our AI from your Content.

Communications: emails, support requests, and feedback you send to us.

2.How We Use Your Information

We use personal information to: (a) provide and improve the Service; (b) process payments and manage subscriptions; (c) send transactional emails (account, billing, product updates); (d) respond to support requests; (e) monitor usage for fraud prevention and security; (f) comply with legal obligations.

We do not use your Content to train AI models without your explicit consent.

3.Legal Basis for Processing

Where applicable under Australian law, we process personal information on the basis of: contractual necessity (to provide the Service); legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention, product improvement); your consent (where we request it); and legal obligation.

4.Disclosure to Third Parties

We share personal information with sub-processors only where necessary to provide the Service. We do not sell your personal information to third parties. A list of our current sub-processors is provided in Section 11.

We may disclose personal information where required by law or court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Crux, our users, or the public.

5.International Data Transfers

Some of our sub-processors are located outside Australia (primarily in the United States). By using the Service, you consent to the transfer of your personal information to countries that may have different data protection laws. We take reasonable steps to ensure overseas recipients handle your data in accordance with the APPs.

6.Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as necessary to provide the Service. After account termination, we delete or de-identify personal information within 90 days, except where retention is required by law or legitimate business necessity (e.g. billing records required for tax purposes, typically 7 years).

7.Security

We implement industry-standard technical and organisational measures to protect personal information, including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, access controls, and regular security reviews. No system is completely secure; you use the Service at your own risk.

8.Your Rights

Under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), you have the right to: access personal information we hold about you; request correction of inaccurate information; make a complaint if you believe we have interfered with your privacy.

9.Cookies and Tracking

We use session cookies and similar technologies for authentication and to maintain your logged-in state. We use analytics tools to understand how the Service is used. You can configure your browser to refuse cookies, but some features of the Service may not function correctly if you do so.

10.Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed at children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
